Ola Electric likely to unveil 3-wheeler this year

Ola Electric is likely to unveil its new electric three-wheeler this year, with a projected price point lower than that of Bajaj Auto’s EV three-wheeler, people familiar with the development said. The three-wheeler will boast several category-first features, providing more space and greater convenience compared to other electric three-wheelers in the segment, the sources said, requesting anonymity.

A spokesperson for Ola Electric declined to comment on the development.

An ET Auto report said that the three-wheeler has been tentatively named “Raahi”, which means traveller. Ola’s electric three-wheeler will compete with established players in the segment, such as the Bajaj RE, Mahindra Treo and Piaggio Ape e-city.

According to images obtained by ET Auto, the Ola EV three-wheeler is designed with a minimalist aesthetic to maximize space and practicality. Its front profile features square headlights, a large windshield, A-pillar-mounted ORVMs, and cabin doors.
